My mom has been taking me and my brothers to Alcala’s for as long as I can remember—maybe since I was 5 years old. I got my first pair of cowboy boots here and have had about 8 more since. It’s been 4 years since she passed but I still come here every once in a while to walk around, try on some boots, and if a pair catches my eye I’ll take them home with me.
